02. Personal Satisfaction

As a professional research based organization, The Healthy Thinking Institute measures the effectiveness of its programs using metrics like internal and external customer satisfaction.

We believe that to get great customer satisfaction at any level, people need to be personally satisfied and happy.
This translates to what the customer thinks of your company, and what people in the company think of you, or your team.
At the Healthy Thinking Institute we believe that to get great customer satisfaction at any level, people need to be personally satisfied and happy.
Our research tell us that there are 5 key factors to personal satisfaction and without strength in these factors, it is more difficult to be happy.
The 5 key factors to personal satisfaction are:
• Family
• Health
• Financial security
• Friends
• Sense of Purpose

In my third book about to be released, “Instant Happiness” I write “Not having money can make you unhappy, having lots of money doesn’t make you happy either, but being happy does make you money!”
Now you may argue that people with lots of money and who are not happy, are obviously spending it on the wrong things! Our data shows that being really rich does not add more personal satisfaction as we adapt to our level of income. For some people, amassing wealth is their sense of purpose, so once they get there, they can in fact become less happy as they lose their sense of purpose.
What’s your sense of purpose? Teaching people to think and act in a healthy way is ours.

Our data also shows that the happier you are, the less stressed you are, the more money you and your company make, and the longer you live. So working to increase personal satisfaction and reducing stress have positive effects on health and profits.

We are teaming up with Dr Paul Englert, one of the countries most experienced and respected Organizational Psychologists from www.opragroup.com to evaluate and further develop our corporate year long programs.
We know that it makes a difference, but using our combined research philosophy we want to prove without doubt that Healthy Thinking is a great Return on Investment (ROI)

The expected return is in customer satisfaction, engagement, staff satisfaction, reduced staff turnover and increased profit.
We now have a personal satisfaction and branding module in our Executive Coaching program which runs for a year. We have a number of CEOs and leaders on this program.
Healthy Thinking provides tools to change attitudes and behaviours. We have now developed a set of tool cards and profiling cards which are a huge success. Carry them around or leave them on your desk and they prompt you to recognise attitude profiles like the Extremist and its antidote, The Negotiator.
These 12 cards have been designed in conjunction with Ross Bennett of Cause and Effect Ltd www.cande.co.nz and are a huge hit.
